EXO's mission is to enable our clients to better understand our world and to take greater responsibility for their actions in it. We now live in what many consider a period of "epochal" change, however, it seems that few really grasp the causes involved or the direction in which we are heading. We are convinced that the future has already arrived and that careful examination of the present provides powerful guidance about that unfolding future.
EXO has spun out of the Center for the Study of Digital Life (CSDL). CSDL, in turn, developed from work done for the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment (ONA). We have taken the more limited-purpose practice of "Net Assessment" and expanded it to include technologically-caused global developments. In our opinion, the time has come for organizations well beyond "national security" circles to take advantage of the "Digital Net Assessment" approach.
